"Yoda" Anns Lions Summer Surprise (Imp Fin)

While looking at Leonberger websites in Finland, I stumbled across AnnsLions Kennel. Her beautiful girl Exo had just given birth to one puppy and the sire was the incredibly chunky and gorgeous Janska !! I of course assumed this puppy would be staying in Finland, but found out that this 6 week old puppy was still available.......

Yoda was born on 27th May 2005 in Finland at Anns Lions Kennel. His beautiful mother Exo had been mated to Janska, but unfortunately scanned non-pregnant .... hence Yoda was a 'summer surprise'! Had he been a girl instead of a boy, he would have stayed with his breeder in Finland

Due to New Zealand's import regulations and Finland not being a rabies-free country, Yoda had to stay in Finland till he was 9 months. After arrival in NZ he spent a month in Pethaven quarantine, where I was able to visit him several times a week.

Yoda is very much a mummy's boy and keeps a close eye on me whenever possible! His temperament is devine and he is just a very sweet, goofy boy.

He is getting his stuff together in the show ring and has  been awarded his 3rd Junior of Group at Championship level.  As an Intermediate dog he has been awarded, Best in Group , 8 x Intermediate in Group and 3 x Intermediate in Show.

As a 3 year old he was awarded Reserve Best in Show at Tauranga Kennel Association's all breeds championship show!!

Currently I am not showing Yoda much, mainly due to focusing on Alex. Yoda usually comes with us to the shows though...he is very settled and an easy boy to live with!
