About Us
I live on the North Island of New Zealand, north of the city of Hamilton. The house is on a 2 hectare block of land among dairy farms, so we have a lot of space and few neighbours. I am a vet and a teacher.
I have a 19 year old son, who loves sport, particularly cricket and rugby, and a 6 year old daughter called Sofia.
As well as the 6 Leonbergers, we have a Griffon X (Darby), a cat (Devon Rex), numerous horses (Chatto Creek Gypsy Cobs) and 12 Polish chickens.
I got my first Leonberger in 1999, when I went to see a litter in Tauranga and brought home Wookie. He went to Australia for a stud when he was two years old and we acquired one of his daughters, Martha, thanks to Kerrie Port and Roanoake Kennel.
We have had our first litter of Leonberger puppies in October 2003. The plan is to keep things small and personal. Our pups grow up in the household and be part of everyday happenings. We would like to see the pups working (obedience, carting etc) and showing, but most importantly, we want them to become someone's much loved pet and family member.
